Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur was established in 1951. It is a public engineering institution. IIT Kharagpur has the largest campus (2,100 acres), most number of departments, and the highest student enrolment.
Currently there is no new notification for admissions to PhD programmes. You will have to wait for the release of notification for admission for PhD.

However you can keep a watch on its release by following below steps
Firstly, log in to its main website, the page looks like



Then scroll down and click on “Ph.D., PDF, MIPP”, the new page open will look like



Now select “Ph.D. Programme”, the new page open look like



Here you will find information related to your programme.

STEP-I: Fill in the ONLINE application form
Firstly register yourself with Your Email Id and Login. Fill the appropriate data. Please note that you have to upload your related documents wherever it is required to validate information along with digital photograph and signature.

STEP-II: Make PAYMENT and SUBMIT Application
Payment of application fee has to be made through online only. Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
STEP-III: Take PRINT

After submission of your online application, you will be able to generate your online application print with your specific details/data. This application print may be retained with you for future requirement.
