The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture and is supported by the B.K. Birla Group of Companies.

The objective of Ph. D. Programme in it is to retain the current and develop the emerging scholars for career in teaching, research, training and consulting

Admission to the Programme

Eligibility Criteria

The following categories of persons are eligible to join the Ph.D. Programme:

a) One who has scored minimum 60% marks in aggregate or B+ grade in 7 point scale in
Master Degree or equivalent diploma exam in the relevant subject and possess a consistently good academic record can apply. Relevant subjects are:
(a) Management, (b) Economics, (c) Commerce, (d) Business Economics, (e) Personnel Management, (f) Chartered Accountancy and allied fields.

b) Business Executives with an experience of at least 3 years in industry or such allied sectors as Banking, Finance, FMCG, I.T. etc. and other large Corporate Houses in Organized Sector of the economy subject to the fulfillment of (a);

c) Members of Faculty of the Business Schools, Colleges/Universities and other Educational Institutions, subject to the fulfillment of the condition under (a); Post Graduates in Management/Insurance/Economics/Commerce and other allied disciplines, subject to the fulfillment of the condition under (a).

d) Passing of admission test, including interview

e) The registration for foreign candidate demands the equivalence certificate of Master Degree under the norms of University Grant Commission (UGC) India. It is provided by Association of Indian University (AIU) with the fees as charged by AIU.
