First paediatric stem cell transplant - Doctors at the Advanced Pediatrics Centre of PGI, Chandigarh have successfully performed a stem cell transplant of a three year old boy with cancer. The little boy was suffering from a rare cancer, called Neuroblastoma which had spread all over his body.

Department of Cytology and Gynaecological Pathology has acquired the state-of-the-art facility of Liquid Based Cytology (LBC). This system has been applied in all types of gynaecological and non-gynaecological cytology samples for patient care increasing the sensitivity of the diagnosis.
