I completed UG degree and planning to pursue higher studies came to know about PGDBA and MBA degree searching for details about both courses. Will you please provide me eligibility to apply for both these courses and also provide me basic difference between PGDBA VS MBA ?

PGDBA :- Post graduate diploma Business administration

MBA :- Master in Business administration

It is the name of the course which are same in all the ways but the only difference is that some private college now name there courses as PGDBM or PGDBA where as MBA is also same course but some university called it MBA.

Eligibility :-

1. A graduation degree
2. Degree must be from a recognized university
3. No age limit
4. No subject requirement that means anybody can apply.
5. 50% marks are essential for admission
6. 45% in case of SC/ST
7. Good communication skills

PGDBA VS MBA

Masters in Business Administration is 2 year degree course in Business and Management in which student have and learn all the relevant subjects related to business and management which is necessary to understand any organization and a company.

Where as Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration is 2 year Diploma course in this course also student learn about the business and management of company.

Most of the institutions provide PGDBA which is often consider as equivalent to Degree course.

But if student what to have some more education qualification in the similar field than Doing MBA is better as Some Ph.d Institutes do not consider PGDBA good enough qualification for Ph.d.

Student who also want to make his career in Teaching/Education and Research field also prefer MBA qualification over PGDBA.

Candidates who want to make his career in corporate sector go for PGDBA from Good and reputed institution.

Many of the reputed institutions in management are providing Post Graduate Diploma in Business management/administration.

Although many of the PGDBA holder are now eligible to apply for Ph.d course also but initial this was not available to PGDBA students.
