Karnataka PGCET is a common entrance exam directed by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to first semester of first year full-time and part-time academic courses of study in M.E /M.Tech/ M.Arch in government, university/ private-aided /private un-aided professional educational institutions in the state of Karnataka.

Eligibility;

For Full Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch:-

• Valid GATE score
• Passed qualifying examination or an equivalent exam by a competent authority and obtained an aggregate if 50% marks taken together in all subjects of all the years/semesters of the degree examination/Qualifying Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses.

45% of marks in Q E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates

For Part Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses:-

Passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination/Qualifying Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses.

45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates
(Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates)

Registration fee
Rs. 600/-

Exam pattern
This examination consists of objective types questions and each question will also have four options.
Candidates can select one from four options. This examination comprises of four sections which we can segregate based on given below:

Section 1 consists of General Reasoning and Intelligence
Section 2 consists of General Knowledge
Section 3 consists of Quantitative analysis
Section 4 consists of test based on proficiency in the English language
