The Faculty of Law, Osmania University was opened in 1899 to give instruction in law to students desirous of joining legal profession along with Judicial Test classes for Judicial Officers. Thus teaching of Law was in existence even before Osmania University came into existence in 1918.

Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws (PGDCL):

The University College of Law, Osmania University offers a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws (PGDCL) which was introduced in 2007.It is open to any Graduate who qualifies in the Entrance Examination conducted by the university.

The course is offered in the evening hours and on Self-financing basis. One is admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the entrance exam, keeping in view the rules in force in respect of the statutory reservation of seats under categories of candidates.

The Duration of the course is one year divided into two semesters. The intake is a total of 80 seats each out of which 60 seats are in the non-sponsored category and 20 seats are in the sponsored category.
