Common Law Admission Test will be Conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

It is National Level Entrance Test for the Admission to UG, PG and Integrated law Courses.

Eligibility Criteria :

For PG:

Candidates must have completed the LLB or 5 year Integrated LLB degree or its equivalent degree from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).

There is No Upper Age Limit for CLAT Examination.

Application Fee ;

Candidates has to pay the application fee for general OBC/PWD and other category

Candidates Rs.4000/- while submitting the Application Form of CLAT

The fee is Rs.3500/- in case of the SC/ST category candidates

Previous year e-Question Papers of CLAT shall be available on the payment of Rs.250/- only

Exam Pattern :

This law entrance exam is of two hours duration.

The CLAT question paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions.

There are five sections in CLAT exam paper wherein students need to answer questions from subjects such as:

English including Comprehension
General Knowledge and current Affairs
Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)
Legal Aptitude
Logical Reasoning

CLAT Structure ;

English (including comprehension)
40 marks

Elementary Mathematics
20 marks

General Knowledge/Current Affairs
50 marks

Logical Reasoning
40 marks

Legal Reasoning
50 marks

Marking Scheme:

For every correct answer, aspirants are given one mark and for each wrong answer 0.25 marks are deducted from their total score
