CAT or Common Admission Test is conducted by All Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).

Criteria for CAT entrance exam:-
A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university

Minimum 50% of marks at graduation level

There is 5% relaxation for the SC/ST candidates. They need to get 45% of marks in aggregate.

A final year student can also appear for this examination.

CAT Paper Pattern

1. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation- 30 Questions- 1 hr. 10 mins (70 mins)
2. Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning- 30 Questions- 1 hr. 10 mins (70 mins)

CAT Exam Pattern
There is Negative Marking in CAT Examination.
The selection is based on written test, group discussion and personal interview.

Common Admission Test is conducted on National level by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for Post Graduate level Management Degree/Diploma programmes

CAT Exam Eligibility

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks. 45% mark for SC/ST category.

Age: No age bar

Reservation


Scheduled Caste – 15% of the total seats
Scheduled Tribes – 7.5% of the total seats
OBC (Non- Creamy layer) – 27% of the total seats
