Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) was established by GERMI as a Private University through the State Act enacted on 4th April, 2007. It offers programs to address the need for trained human resources in the domains of Science, Technology, Management and Humanities.

Its mission is to develop global professionals by providing international educational exchange to the university students and to create visibility of the university in the global educational scenario by collaborating with other reputed institutes and student exchange programs.


Ranking

The university is ranked 55th in India (2016) and 1st in Gujarat by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

In 2018, its ranking is between 151-200. PDPU has also been awarded Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) recognition by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
