The Indian Navy, as one of the three wings of Indian Armed Forces has kept pace with ever changing advanced technologies and operates and maintains highly sophisticated ships, submarines and aircraft.


The propulsion machinery, weapons, sensors and equipment on board these weapon platforms are operated and maintained by sailors, who are imparted with requisite training at various intervals during their service.

The Eligibility Criteria And the Pay Scale of the Indian Navy Sailor is given below

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification:
The candidates interested in applying for this post should have qualified in Class 12/ equivalent examination with maths and physics and atleast one of these subjects chemistry/biology/computer science.

Age limit:
The candidates applying for these posts should have been born between February 1, 1996 to January 31, 2000.

Selection procedure:
A written examination, physical fitness test (PFT) and medical examination will be conducted for shortlisting and final selection of the candidates.

The written test question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The question paper will be of Class 12 standard.
