Bharathiar University Part time PHD in Chemistry programme admission details are as given below;

Part time PHD in Chemistry

Eligibility:

The candidates should have passed a PG degree program SSLC+HSC+UG+PG or SSLC+Pre-degree+1+UG+PG or 10-year SSLC plus 3-year diploma plus two year UG degree and two year PG 10+3+2+2 or four year UG degree and one year masters degree 10+2+4+1.

Selection Procedure:
Admissions shall be made through Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by an interview.

The qualifying examinations marks converted to:
50 marks
Common Entrance Test:
35 marks
Interview:
15 marks
Total:
100 marks

Dates;
Dates for admission has already gone that was April 30, 2015.

Firstly I would like to inform you that PhD cannot be pursued with Chemistry specialization from Bharathiar University. However I have listed the details of specialization below in which PhD can be pursued.

Ph.D in Bharathiar University is offered in the following departments both as full time and part time courses:

School of Life Sciences
Department of Botany
Department of Bio-informatics
Department of Environmental Sciences
Department of Zoology
BU - DRDO Centre for Life Sciences

School of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering
Department of Microbial Bio - technology
Department of Bio - technology

The application is meant only for Full-Time and Part-Time M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes offered in the University Departments/Affiliated Colleges and Recognized Research Institutions.

All the aspirants who have appeared for the Common Entrance Test (CET), are eligible to apply for M.Phil/Ph.D programmes.

1. ELIGIBILITY FOR M.PHIL. RESEARCH PROGRAMME (FULL TIME/PART TIME)
aspirants with Master’s degree of Bharathiar University in the concerned or related discipline or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate of Bharathiar University.

All aspirants should have qualified a two-year PG degree course after 3-year Bachelor’s degree course and Higher Secondary course of 2-year duration after 10-year SSLC (10+2+3+2) or one year Predegree after 11-year SSLC (11+1+3+2) or 10-year SSLC plus 3-year Diploma plus two year UG degree and two year PG (10+3+2+2) or four year UG degree and one year masters degree (10+2+4+1). aspirants who have passed the PG degree examination with less than 17 years of total duration of study are not eligible for admission to M.Phil. programme.

(a) aspirants belonging to the following categories are eligible to register for M.Phil. (Full-Time /Part Time) programme.
aspirants with 55% (5% relaxation for SC/ST aspirants in the minimum eligibility marks) of marks and above in the Master’s degree.
aspirants with 55% (5% relaxation for SC/ST aspirants in the minimum eligibility marks) of marks and above in the Master’s degree and working as Full- time Research Fellows/Technical Assistants/Research Assistants in time-bound Research schemes of 1 year duration or more in University Departments/Research Departments of Affiliated Colleges/Acknowledged Research Institutions.

(b) aspirants belonging to the following categories are eligible to register for M.Phil. (Part-Time)
programme:

Any person employed in any concern/organization/institution/ R & D Centres / Laboratories located within Tamilnadu or Research Institutions acknowledged by Bharathiar University with a minimum of 55% of marks in the Master’s degree. Such aspirants shall produce a Noobjection certificate from the Employer or Head of the Institution (in case of Educational Institutions).
All teachers working in colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University are also eligible. Aspirants working as guest lecturers on consolidated pay are also eligible to pursue M.Phil. (Part-time) programme provided they produce an NOC and service certificate from their respective colleges.
Aspirants working in colleges affiliated to Universities other than Bharathiar University have to produce a No objection Certificate and service certificate from the Head of the Institution/University.
T.C. need not be required for admission to
