The bachelor of social work program at Pacific University is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

This program is the study of generalist social work practice with a focus on issues of diversity, cultural competence and social justice.

Social work graduates can prepare for careers in settings as diverse as criminal justice, child welfare, healthcare, school social work, aging, government agencies, mental health, the political arena, research, nonprofit organizations, advocacy, human rights, poverty and homelessness, international social work, community development, adoption, substance abuse, hospice and family violence.
