Re: Other State Quota in WBJEE

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed in the year 1962 for the purpose of holding Common Entrance Examinations for admission to the Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the State of West Bengal

As per the State Govt.’s policy, with respect to the creation of the new/additional seats, reservation shall be extended on the availability of seats subject to the approval of the appropriate regulatory authorities.

For un-aided self-financing engineering, technology, pharmacy, medical and dental colleges, reservation of seats for candidates from the SC/ST/OBC categories is not mandatory.

However, seats may be available for admission to candidates who fall under this category only where the institution authorities decide to offer such seat

No SC/ST/PwD/OBC candidates who reside in other states apart from West Bengal are not eligible for benefits and they will be treated as general category candidates.
