The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Osmania University, established in 1954, is one of the oldest in the country.

Osmania was the first university in the country to start a Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Journalism) course in 1962.

Programmes
The Department offers a two-year M.A programme and a PhD programme in Journalism & Mass Communication.
