Osmania University is a public state university located in Hyderabad, India, and founded in 1918 with the help of chief Architect of Mahbub Ali Khan - Nawab Sarwar Jung.


APSET Applications are invited by the Osmania University from the eligible/interested candidates to appear the State Eligibility Test for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States

State Eligibility Test is conducted for mainly recruitment as Assistant Professors/Lecturers through direct recruitment or by promotions in Universities and Degree Colleges in the State.

Eligibility Criteria :

nly those candidates who have completed or are pursuing their final year of PG degree in related subjects are eligible to appear for AP. SET. Others need not apply.

Candidates who have secured atleast 55% marks (without grace or rounding off) in the Masters degree ( for OC & BC) and 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Physically Challenged (PH)/VH category candidates are eligible for this examination.

Paper Pattern :
APSET exam will be conducted in objective mode. The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of multiple choice questions and will be held on the day of examination in two separate sessions as under:

Session:- First

Paper I - 60 out of which 50 questions are to be attempted : 50 x 2=100 marks (09.30 am to 10.45 am) [ 01 hour]
Paper II -50 questions all of which are compulsory: 50 x 2=100 marks (10.45 am to 12.00 noon) [ 01 hour]

Session:- Second

Paper III - 75 questions all of which are compulsory: 75 x 2= 150 marks (01.30 pm to 04.00 pm) [02 hours]
