UNIT - I- THE SCIENCE OF PSYCHOLOGY: 12 hours. A) Definition and goals of Psychology. b) Modern perspectives – Psychodynamic, Behavioral, Cognitive, Evolutionary, Sociocultural, Humanistic Movement and Positive Psychology, Indian Perspective. c) Fields of Psychology. c) Types of Psychological Research: Descriptive research (Observation, Survey and Interviews, Standardized Tests, Case studies).
