The Ohio State University College of Medicine, in collaboration with the Center for Family Safety and Healing at Nationwide Children’s Hospital offers a three-year Fellowship Program in Child Abuse Pediatrics. Nationwide Children’s Hospital is a Regional pediatric burn center Level 1 trauma center The tertiary children’s hospital for a large Central Southeast county region of Ohio. The fellowship program, established in 2004. The program offers training to physicians who are interested in an academic career in Child Abuse Pediatrics. Clinical training includes all areas of child maltreatment including a medical home to children placed in out-of-home care The fellowship training experience includes exposure to various mental health assessments , child protection systems . Fellows have the opportunity to pursue formal coursework in research methodology or public health at the Ohio State University.
