What are the eligibility conditions required to meet to apply for the Punjab University Common Entrance Test for admission into M.A English ?

Punjab University Common Entrance Test directed by the Punjab University to offer admission in to M.A English course .

Eligibility Conditions---

Applicants must have done B.A. with Honours in English.

Applicants must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in any faculty with 50% marks in the aggregate.

Applicants must have done a Diploma in Physical Education exam or Postgraduate Diploma in Library Science after having passed B.A. or B.Sc.

Applicants must have done B.A. /B.Sc. with 45% marks in the Elective English.

Master’s degree examination in another subject or another Faculty.

Scheme of Test---

The written Test is of 1 hour and 30 minutes duration.

Test includes--
The Short notes 30 marks.

Short essay (300-350 words) 15 marks.

Critical appreciation of (a) Prose 30 marks (not more than 150 words each) (b) Poem

Eligibility Conditions :

Candidates must have Passed Under Graduate Degree Programme from Recognized University .

Final Year Candidates can also apply for the test, if they have only secured marks of 50% aggregation

Examination Pattern :

Total Duration of Examination will be 1 hour and 30 minutes
Generally 75 questions will be asked
Each question will have four options and you have to select the right one
75 marks are allotted for the subject
For every right answer, candidates will be given 1 mark

PU OCET Dates 2016:
Application form of PU OCET will be published in April, 2016.

Last date for application form is May month.

PU OCET exam will be conduct in June month.

Prospectus Fees:
For General class applicant's prospectus fees is Rs-1600.

For SC and ST class applicant's prospectus fees is Rs-800.

Applicants have to pay the additional fees of Rs-700.

Fees will be submitted through online mode via Debit Card, Credit Card.

Applicants can also download the online SBI pay slip which is payable in any branch of SBI
