Re: OBC Reservation in DSSSB
The DSSSB Examination is conducted by central authorities such as UPSC invites application from all part of the country. In these examinations, anyone, from any state can apply, and they will be eligible for reservation as per the central guidelines. In an examination conducted by state PSCs, the complication arises when SCs, STs, or OBC from one state applies for the posts in another state in the same category. There can be situations where STs of state A do not come under the list of reserved category of ST for state B. As per the reservation policy of the Govt. of Delhi, the benefit of OBC category is not admissible to OBC outsider candidates therefore he was considered under UR category only. SC/OBC candidates seeking the benefit of reservation should submit the SC/OBC certificate issued to them by the competent authority of Government of NCT of Delhi on or before the prescribed closing date. The OBC candidates shall also submit the Duly filled Annexure Procedure For Obtaining Services: If any class of citizen feels that their caste / community should be included in OBCs list of Delhi, the applicant will have to make a request for such inclusion along with documentary and supporting evidence (s)/ material (s) regarding social, economic and educational status either to the Member- Secretary or the Chairman of the Commission. For the purpose of obtaining OBC certificate, citizens belonging to the OBC category to the OBC category may approach their SDMs of the District concerned.
