Re: OBC Certificate Necessary to attach with IIT JEE Application Form
There is no need to attach OBC Certificate with IIT JEE Application form, you just need to mention the category to which you belong in form as there is reservation for some category You need to produce OBC Certificate at the time of counseling only. Make sure that while submission of your application form, you get the acknowledgement card signed or stamped JEE Eligibility Criteria: - Must have passed in final examination of class XII or its equivalent -Those appearing in class XII final or equivalent examination may also appear - Must have passed 5 subjects in their Class XII. Not Applicable for students who have passed in 2012 or 2013 with four subjects. -Candidates can attempt JEE Main for a maximum of three times. |

Re: OBC Certificate Necessary to attach with IIT JEE Application Form
Reservation candidates need to upload the soft (scanned) copy of their category certificate during the online registration as per the rules of the Government of India. These candidates are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. Benefit of OBC (NCL), SC and ST reservation is given only to those classes or castes or tribes which are in the respective central list of corresponding states published by the Government of India. JEE Reservation for Other Backward Class Non Creamy Layer (OBC NCL) OBC Creamy Layer (OBC-CL): If the parental income of the OBC students is above Rs.6.0 Lakhs and above is considered as OBC Creamy Layer. OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): If the parental income of the OBC students is less than Rs.6.0 Lakhs is considered as OBC Non Creamy Layer. OBC NCL Certificate Format For candidates belonging to OBC Non creamy layer only, 27% of the seats are reserved in all IITs, and ISM Dhanbad. For the purpose of reservation of seats in JEE Advanced, a candidate is considered as OBC only if one belongs to the Non-creamy layer of the central list of Government of India in OBC category. If the reserved seats in this category are not filled, they are filled by GE category candidates. OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for IITs admission thourgh JEE Advanced Exam The soft copy of the category certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format is required to be uploaded during the online registration for JEE Advanced 2014. OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for NITs admission thourgh JEE Main Counselling OBC candidates are required to produce original certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of counseling and at the time of admission, failing which they will not be considered for admission. No need to enclose the OBC NCL certificate with the JEE Main application confirmation page. OBC Creamy Layer State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL central list must choose General. The OBC creamy layer candidates are considered as General candidates only. |
