Hey as NTPC Limited is an Indian Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.


NTPC Tender SIPAT
National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has decided to re-tender the Rs.9,000 crore 1980 MW SIPAT Thermal Project in Chhattisgarh with some modifications after the earlier tender failed to attract any bidders.
The tender has been broken into two packages with an option for bidding individually for boilers and turbines.

This decision is likely to attract more players, as the suppliers of turbines need not back their bids with suppliers of super critical boilers
The company is also planning to set up an additional 1,000 MW power plant at the same site for which the bids will be floated at a later date.
The SIPAT project incorporates high technology super critical boilers, which consume less fuel to generate the same quantum of power compared to conventional sub-critical boilers.
