What is the percentage required in B.Tech for mechanical engineers for a job in NTPC ?

NTPC Limited (formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation Limited) is a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. It was established in 1975.

Qualification-

Minimum 65% marks in aggregate in Full time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE.

Final year/semester students are also eligible, however, they have to obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.
A candidate with the prescribed degree identified for the discipline can only apply for the post of EETs.

Age Limit-
Upper Age limit is 27 years as on 18.01.2014 i.e. candidates born before 17.01.87 need not apply.

Selection Process-

Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014.
Based on the GATE-2014 MARKS and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Candidates NEED to secure minimum qualifying marks in GD & Interview.
