I am working in NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation Limited) and came to know about the NTPC plans expansion of power plants in Telangana district. Can you please tell me details about this NTPC expansion plans? Also tell me the number of employees working in the NTPC?

The NTPC is plan for expansion of Future Capacity Additions. The NTPC has formulated a long term Corporate Plan to become a 130 GW company upto 2032.

The NTPC Ltd is an Indian Public Sector Undertaking, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.

It is a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 and is promoted by the Government of India. The headquarters of the company is situated at New Delhi.

The NTPC intended to add two supercritical units of 800 Mw each to its existing super thermal power station at Kaniha, one of the largest in the country.

The Kaniha plant has six coal-based generated units of 500 Mw each and one solar power plant of 10 Mw.
