NTPC-ET exam after PGDM

Hi I have completed PGDM (Finance) so can I apply for NTPC-ET recruitment exam for Finance discipline?

Sorry to say but you are not eligible for NTPC-ET exam after PGDM as the mini eligibility criteria for this exam is Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE.

Position: Engineering Executive Trainees in the following disciplines

Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Electronics Engineering

Eligibility:

Candidates must have completed a full time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with a minimum of 65% marksin aggregate.

Final year/semester students are also eligible provided they obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.

Candiates must have qualified in GATE.

Age: not more than 27 years as on January 18, 2014 (relaxation as per rules).

Date of Birth: Candidates must be born after January 1, 1987

Application Fee:

General and OBC category candidates need to pay Rs. 150/- as application fee. SC/ST and other reserved category candidates don’t need to pay registration fee.

Selection:

The selection process to get appointed for NTPC engineering executive trainee post is not that lengthy. Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in GATE 2014 exam first and then they have to perform in Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
