Answer briefly : a) What is difference between Conventional and Non-conventional machining process? Give examples. b) What do you mean by flexible machining system? c) List the various applications of abrasive flow machining. d) What is chemical machining? e) List the advantages of ECM. f) What are the main dielectric fluid flushing methods used in EDM? g) What are the main types of Laser? h) What is computer integrated manufacturing? i) What are the main electrolytes used in ECM? j) What are the main applications of EDM? SECTION-B 2. Give an overview of general manufacturing trends. How can the trends be classified in the perspective of modern industry ? 3. What are the main process elements of abrasive flow machining? 4. Explain with suitable diagrams the working principle of Electrochemical machining. 5. Discuss the mechanism of material removal in Plasma arc machining process. 6. What are the basic components of Electron-beam machining? SECTION-C 7.
