Northern Illinois University has more than 55 sworn officers, the NIU Police Department provides service and protection to the campus community, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Here are the services conducted by the Department
Child Safety Seat Inspections - by appointment

Available 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Please allow approximately 60 minutes for your seat check.

Lost and Found
Items lost on campus can be claimed at the Public Safety department's lost and found

Motorist Assistance
