Re: No. of Seats in NLU Delhi

The primary objective of NLU or National Law University New Delhi, India is to evolve and impart comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal education that is socially relevant. It aim to promote legal and ethical values and foster the rule of law and the objectives protect in the Constitution of India.

Eligibility
• One, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and selection is solely on that basis.
• One should score minimum 40% of the marks in the AILET (30% for SC/ ST candidates)
• In order to appear for the AILET, one must have passed the 10+2 exam and scored a minimum of 50%. However, one appearing for 10+2 exams in the year of the AILET can also apply provided they meet the above condition at the time of admission.


Number of Seats
• The University admits 81 students every year to the B.A.LL.B(Hons.)
• 10 seats are set aside for Foreign Nationals.
• Of the remaining seats, 15% are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
• 1 seat is reserved for migrants from Kashmir.


Fees
The fees payable fall into three categories: annual fees; one-time fees; and deposits.

Annual Fees

Tuition Fee: Rs. 85,000 p.a
Halls of Residence: Rs. 18,000 p.a
Mess Advance: Rs. 15,000 p.a
Other Fees: Rs. 40,500 p.a

One-Time Fees (to be paid only at the time of admission to the I-year)

Campus Development Fund: Rs. 5,000
Admission Fee: Rs. 2,500

Deposits

Library Deposit: Rs. 5,000 (Rs. 2,500 for SC/ ST students)
Hostel Deposit: Rs. 5,000
Mess Deposit: Rs. 5,000
