Hii sir, I wants to get information about the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination of State Maharshtra ?

National Means – Cum- Merit Scholarship Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT New Delhi started in the year 2007-08. The purpose of the scheme is to identify talented students in Economical Backward group and nurture their talent.

Scholarship Amount :
On the basis of the examination conducted, scholarships will be awarded for whose parents having income less than Rs. 1, 50,000/- appearing for class VIII who have got 55% marks in VIIth STD. (for reserve candidate 5O%) and studying in recognized schools only.

Eligibility Criteria :
: Students who have passed VIIth STD with 55% marks (Reserve Candidates 50 %) & studying in class VIIIth in recognized schools of Government, Government Aided and local bodies only are eligible to appear for the NMMS examination conducted by the State in which the schools are located.

Total Annual income of Parents should be below Rs. 1,50,000/- Caste Certificate, Income certificate disability certificate should be given by Tahasildar / proper authority.

Examination pattern
The pattern of written examination will comprise two parts; namely (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (b) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) covering social sciences, science and mathematics.

Reservation Percentage Criteria :

The scholarships percentage will be allotted as per state caste wise reservation as follows.

SC – 13.00
ST- 07.00
VJ – 03.00
NT – 08.00
OBC – 19.00
SBC – 02.00
