The Nitte University conducts an All India Pre Medical Entrance Test (NUUGET) for admissions to the undergraduate medical and dental courses.

Nitte University Undergraduate Entrance Test is conducted by the examination authority i.e. Nitte University every year for approximately 150 MBBS and 100 BDS seats.

The NUUGET Medical is a national level test scheduled to be conducted on May 9, from 02:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Nitte University, a Deemed University offers MBBS and BDS programs at its constituent colleges, K.S Hegde Medical Academy and A.B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, both located at Deralakatte, Mangalore.

Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the counselling for MBBS / BDS seats in Deemed Universities shall be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The Ministry has constituted a Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for conducting centralised online counselling and allotment of seats.
