I have completed 12th in Science Biology and now want to do BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) Course form Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy - Mangalore, Karnataka under Nitte University so please give me details for admission including eligibility criteria?

The Nitte University of Physiotherapy is a constituent unit of the Nitte University, recognised by the Government of India and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP).

The Institute is located at the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangalore

Academic programs-

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

Intake: 60 | Duration: 4 and 1/2 years (including 6 months compulsory rotatory internship)

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

Intake: 20 | Duration: 2 years

Specializations -

Physiotherapy in Musculoskeletal disorders and Sports Physiotherapy.
Physiotherapy in Neurological and Psychosomatic disorders.
Physiotherapy in Cardio-respiratory disorders and intensive care.
Paediatric Physiotherapy.
Physiotherapy in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Add on Courses

Certificate course in Yoga

Duration: 3 months

Certificate course in Dry Needling

Duration: 6 months

BPT Eligibility-

A pass in 12th standard or equivalent examination approved by Nitte (Deemed to be University) with not less than 40% marks as an aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with English being one of the languages of study.

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

MPT Eligibility-

Candidates with BSc (PT) or BPT degree from a recognized university, securing not less than 50% of marks as an aggregate

Admission will be based on marks secured at the qualifying examination.
