National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal invites applications for admission to full time and part time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (Full Time and Part Time) Program for the session July 2018

NIT Warangal PhD Admission 2018 for July Session

PhD Programs-

The PhD Programs, in Full-time (FT) and Part-time (PT) modes, are offered in the following Departments:

Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences and School of Management

Full-time PhD research scholars are eligible to receive fellowships as per MHRD norms/institute rules

Eligibility Criteria

For Full Time PhD in Engineering Program

Candidates should have M. Tech/ME or equivalent degree. Candidates should have passed the prescribed qualifying exam in first class with a CGPA of at least 6.5/10 (6.0/10 in the case of SC/ST candidates) or not less than 60% aggregate marks (55% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates)

Candidates who have completed M. Tech/M.S programs through GATE score (or) who already possesses a valid GATE score are eligible for admission with institute fellowship as per MHRD norms

For Full Time PhD in Science & Humanities Programs

Candidates with valid GATE/NET scores only, are eligible for admission. Candidates should have M.Phil or equivalent degree, or M.Sc/M.Sc (Tech)/MA or equivalent degree

Admission to a PhD Program shall be open to candidates who passed the prescribed qualifying exam in first class with a CGPA of at least 6.5/10 (6.0/10 in the case of SC/ST candidates) or not less than 60% aggregate marks (55% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates)

Dates of Written Test/Interview: 18th - 22nd June 2018

Announcement of Selected Candidates: 27th June 2018

Dates of Reporting of selected candidates for Ph.D. admission: 09th & 10th July 2018
