The permanent campus of National Institute of Technology NIT Uttarakhand is being constructed in Sumari, Srinagar (Garhwal), extending over 300 acres of land.

Sumari is located at a distance of ~20 Km from Srinagar on approximately 30 minutes travelling time.

Honble Chief Minister Shri Harish Rawat laid the foundation stone of permanent campus of NIT Uttarakhand on 19th February 2014.
