BITS Goa

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani - K.K.Birla Goa Campus is a technical and science institute for higher education in India. Founded in 2004, it is one of four campuses of the university BITS Pilani.

As a campus of BITS Pilani, it follows the curriculum, teaching methodology, and educational practices of BITS Pilani, including the Practice school system. The Aditya Birla Group privately supports the residential features of the institute.

Ranking
A 2008 study by the Indian Semiconductor Association (ISA) found that BITS Pilani, IISc and the top 5 IITs accounted for 70 75% of Indian semiconductor research.

Annual rankings of engineering colleges in India have been published by India Today since 1997. BITS Pilani ranked in the top five from 1997 to 2004.

The Government of Indias National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rated BITS a five-star institution for the period ending 7 February 2007.
