As you want to know more about National Institute of Technology, Durgapur Grading System for MTECH program here I will let you know.

There shall be continuous assessment of a student’s performance throughout the semester and the grade shall be awarded by the subject teacher.

(a) For arriving at a grade obtained by a student for a particular subject, initially a numeric marks obtained by the student out of hundred is to be determined. Next the failure cases (that is, the cases of student obtained ‘F’ grade)

(b) Once that numeric mark is obtained, the same is to be converted to letter grade

(c) A Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) shall be computed for each Semester.

(d) From the second semester onwards, a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) shall be computed for each student.

(e) For assessment of a student in a particular theoretical subject the components with respective weights, assigned to these shall be as under.

Components Weights
Continuous Assessment (CA) 30%

Semester Examination 70%
