I want to know the Academic programs offered by B. V. Patel PERD Centre, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research NIPER?

The B. V. Patel PERD Centre is under the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research NIPER.

The Centre is India's first multidisciplinary, postgraduate research institute, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the pharmaceutical sciences.

PERD, today is an internationally recognized research institute, providing the Pharmaceutical industry and Academia the opportunity and resources to undertake the latest in research and development.

Academics Programs-

PERD has various training modules for human resource development which includes, National and International seminars symposium, hands on training workshops, summer training programs, dissertation program, tailor made hands on training program on instruments like HPLC/LCMS/PCR /spectrophotometer/ fluorimenter/HPTLC and many more.

Each of these programs are specially designed to provide the best training to the participants in the practical as well as theoretical aspects.

Ph.D. -

Criteria for the selection in Ph.D. program.

Candidates are requested to submit the application with detailed resume including percentage of marks/grades obtained in various boards and degree examinations.

Candidates must have passed with FIRST class in M.Sc./M. Pharm. (candidate who has less than 60% in M.Sc./M. Pharm. need not to apply).

The short listed eligible candidates will be called for an interview.

Candidates with M.Sc./M.Pharm. Dissertation will be asked to present their work in front of all the faculties (20 minutes Power point presentation). For candidates without Dissertation, a personal interview with all the faculties will be conducted.

Selected candidates will be provided with a provisional admission for one year.

The institute will provide a scholarship of INR 10,000 per month during this period.

The Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply to various funding agencies (CSIR/UGC/ICMR etc.) and procure a scholarship within the first year.

The registration period for both M. Pharm. and M. Sc. students is minimum three years.

The entire Ph.D. program usually takes three to five years for the completion.
