National Institutes of Health (NIH)National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke : The mission of NINDS is to find the knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease. NINDS developed the know Stroke,Know the Signs campaign to help educate the public about the symptoms of stroke and the importance of getting to the hospital quickly. The NINDS Office of Science Policy and Planning (OSPP) offers Institute legislative, planning, evaluation, analysis, and reporting activities. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale is a tool use for the measurement of the impairment caused by a stroke.
