I am doing preparation for the Entrance Exam for admission in Masters at NIFT. So I want to know that how I crack this Entrance Exam. Tell me that how much total marks I need to pass. Plz provide important tips to crack this Entrance Exam of NIFT for admission in Master Degree Programs.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a premier institute of national level for pursuing UG and PG courses in fashion technology. NIFT conducts a national level exam for admissions into different disciplines of fashion related UG and PG courses across various NIFTs in India. In order to secure admissions at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), candidates will have to appear for two different written/online objective type tests which are called General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). NIFT General Ability Test (GAT) for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Programme B.Des. Paper name GAT Language English Test duration 2 hours Exam mode Paper Based Test (PBT) Sections: Number of questions English comprehension 25 Quantitative ability 20 Communication ability 25 Analytical ability 15 General knowledge and current affairs 15 Total 100 Section wise Topics for NIFT GAT for B.Des English Comprehension: This tests the candidates ability to comprehend a situation from a given passage, along with a test of Basic English language. Quantitative Ability: This tests the quantitative ability of the candidates. It includes questions on division, fractions, percentages, addition, multiplication, the rate of interest, ratio and proportion, distance, and work and task. Communication Ability: This section will judge candidates language ability in day to day communication in English. Questions from correct spellings, one-word substitutes, idioms and phrases, synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular, plural, etc. will be asked. Analytical Ability: This tests the candidates capacity for ability of inference and logic from the given information. General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This judges the candidates general knowledge and current affairs. |
