From (1), C is the brother B and son of E.

Since, the sex of D and E are not known. Hence (1) is not sufficient to answer the question.

From (2). F is the mother of B. Hence, F is also the mother of A. Hence D is the father of A.

Thus, (2) is sufficient to answer the question.

C.P. = Rs. 100. Then, Profit = Rs. 320, S.P. = Rs. 420.

New C.P. = 125% of Rs. 100 = Rs. 125

New S.P. = Rs. 420.

Profit = Rs. (420 – 125) = Rs. 295.

Required Percentage = (295/420 *100) % = 70%

Let P = Rs. 100. Then, S.I. Rs. 60 and T = 6 years

R= (60/6) = 10% p.a.

Now, P = Rs. 12000. T = 3 years and R = 10% p.a.

C.I. = [1200 * {(1+ 10/100) ^3 -1}] = 3972

29) What will be the compound interest on a sum of Rs. 25,000 after 3 years at the rate of 12 p.c.p.a.?

Amount= [2500 * (1+ 12/100) ^3] = 35123.20

C.I. = Rs. (35123.20 – 25000) = Rs. 10123.20.

P * (1+ 20/100) ^n > 2p

=> (6/5) ^n > 2

Now, (6/5 * 6/5 * 6/5 * 6/5) >2
