Re: NICMAR Aptitude Test

NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) is conducted by the National Institute of Construction Management and Research NICMAR for admission in Post Graduate Programs.

NCAT Eligibility Criteria


Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Advanced Construction Management(PGP ACM)-

Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline/Architecture/Planning with minimum 50% aggregate marks

Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Project Engineering and Management(PGP PEM)-

Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management(PGP REUIM)-

Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline/Architecture/Planning with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Two Year Post Graduate Programme in Infrastructure Finance, Development and Management(PGP IFDM)-

Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline/Architecture/Planning with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Eighteen Month Post Graduate Programme in Management of Family Owned Construction Business(PGP MFOCB)

Graduates in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks and belonging to a family having construction business

One Year Post Graduate Programme in Quantity Surveying and Contract Management(PGP QSCM)-

Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

One Year Post Graduate Programme in Health, Safety and Environment Management(PGP HSEM)-

Bachelors degree in Engineering in any discipline OR Diploma in Engineering in any discipline with minimum four years of experience
Minimum 50% aggregate marks are required in all criteria.

Final year eligible graduating students can also apply.

Application Fee

The Application Fee for one programme was Rs. 1900 + Transaction charges and for more than one programme was Rs. 2500 + transaction charges.

The Application Fee is non-refundable.

Exam pattern-

NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) - 150 marks

Quantitative and Analytical Ability - 60 marks

Data Interpretation - 30 marks

Verbal and General Ability - 60 marks

Personal Interview (PI) - 50 marks

Rating of Application (RA) - 50 marks

The RA is calculated on the basis of weighted scores of the cumulative academic performance along with work experience (wherever applicable) obtained from the documents submitted to NICMAR by the candidates

Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit.
