Syllabus of NICL AO Exam is:
There will be five sections in the examination, you need to understand and prepare the syllabus of each section. The five sections are –
Reasoning
English Language
General Awareness
Quantitative aptitude
English Language comprising of Essay, Précis & Comprehension

1. Reasoning – In Reasoning the topics usually covered are: Verbal Reasoning, Series and Alphabet test, Mathematical operations, Odd man out, classification, blood relations, syllogism, coding-decoding, causes effect, analysis, sitting arrangements, statement and conclusion, decision making, puzzle, assertion and reasoning, word formation and other sub-topics.
2. English Language – Jumbled sentence, fill in the blanks, idioms and phrases, synonyms antonyms, spelling check, spot the error in a sentence, one word substitution, sentence improvement.
3. General Awareness – One cannot really narrow things down in this section. Questions will be designed to test your knowledge and awareness of the surrounding. Read newspapers daily to keep yourself abreast with the current happenings.
4. Quantitative Aptitude – Questions on Number system, LCM-HCF, Number series, Decimal Fractions, partnership, Simple/compound Interest, time distance and speed, time and work, profit and loss, percentage, permutation combination, Data Interpretation, Mixture & Alligation and elementary mensuration.
5. English Language ( Descriptive) – 3 questions on Essay, Précis & Comprehension may be asked.
