National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), a constituent research laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was established in 1961 with the mission to carry out research in multidisciplinary areas of the highly complex structure and processes of the Earth system and its extensively interlinked subsystems.

The Summer Training Program :

Training program of 6-to-8 weeks period for Post-graduate Students is normally slotted twice a year, i.e., summer (slot-1: May-June, slot-2: July-August) and winter (December-January). Winter slot is open only for the students of the universities located in the Himalayan region where winter vacations are for longer duration than summer vacations.

Application Open :

Interested students may apply online through the website of CSIR-NGRI in January for Summer slots and August for Winter slot

Facility Provided :

SWC takes care of all the infrastructural facilities like canteen, accommodation, identity cards, etc.,
