Kiran Chandar | Re: CSAT Dates The Civil Services Examination is organised by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India . Exam Pattern The examination is conducted in three stages Civil Services Aptitude test (CSAT) Civil Services (Main) Examinations conducted for applicants selected in the preliminary examination . Those applicants who are selected in the main examination are eligible to appear before the Interview Board. Civil Services Aptitude test(CSAT) The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type. CSAT shall now comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each and of two hours duration each. The Main Written Examination is only for applicants who have been short listed through the Preliminary CSAT Written Examination. This exam consists of seven papers. Paper on Indian languages (250 marks) English (300 marks) General Studies–I(Indian Heritage and Culture History and Geography of the World and Society)(250Marks) General Studies (three papers each of 250 marks) any two optional subjects chosen by the candidate (each having two papers of 250 marks each) Personality Test (275 Marks). Languages are: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam,Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu Important Dates Date of notification 31.05.2014 Last date for receipt of applications 30.06.2014 Date of commencement of exam 24.08.2014 (Sunday) |
