Texas A&M University is a coeducational public research university in College Station, Texas, United States. It is the fourth-largest university in the United States and the largest university in Texas.

Documents Required for Application
The documents and information required for applying are listed below.
1. Texas application and application fee
2. Statement of purpose
3. GRE scores
4. All university transcripts
5. Resume
6. Three letters of recommendation

Materials Necessary in Application Package
Acceptance is based on the complete application package, including:
1. Application
2. Transcripts / grades from other institutions
3. Internships / work experience
4. Previous degrees
5. Publications (if any)
6. GRE & TOEFL scores
7. The Statement of Purpose essay
8. Resume
9. Online recommendation letters

Guidelines for Admission

Significant consideration is given to GRE scores for student admission.

The minimum GRE for consideration is a Verbal minimum of 152 and a Quantitative minimum of 160.

The average GRE score of students admitted to our department is 321 (GRE V+Q) and most funded students are substantially higher.

For international students who wish to apply, proficiency in English must be verified in one of the following ways:

o Texas A&M requires a Verbal GRE score of 146.
o The department requires a higher minimum of 152 for Verbal GRE.
o Required composite TOEFL score of 80 or higher.
o If these verbal minimums are not met, Texas A&M requires the admitted student to complete certain courses in the English Language Institute to gain required English proficiency.
o Good GRE Writing scores are expected (4.5-5.0/6.0).
