| Quick Sam | Re: Institute Of Chemical Technology Mumbai University Hey as per my idea Institute of Chemical Technology, formerly the University Department of Chemical Technology is a premier chemical technology research institute located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Chemistry department:- Chemistry Division shoulders the responsibility of teaching Chemistry to Chemical technology, Chemical engineering and Pharmacy students of the UICT. In addition to the teaching programmes, theory as well as practical, a number of Masters and Doctoral scholars are working towards their research degrees . Among these are 23 for Ph.D. and 06 for M. Sc. The major research interests of the faculty in this division are Organic synthesis, Catalysts, Surface Chemistry, Surfactants, Pesticides formulation and Sonochemistry. The division could attract handsome funds of about Rs.44 lakhs from different agencies for the research activities. The division also hosts instrumental facilities such as FT-IR, HPLC, GCs, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Digital Polarimeter, Haake Viscometer, Microwave Digester, Cyclic Voltameter, which are available to research as well as graduate students of the institute.
