Karnataka Examination Authority holds Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for admissions to MBA, MCA and M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses.

Karnataka PGCET 2015 Eligibility:-

(i) For Full Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch - Course

An aspirant with valid GATE score.

A aspirant who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate bare minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I aspirants. (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates)

(ii) For Part Time M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses:

An aspirant who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years / semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch courses (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I Karnataka candidates) (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka aspirants) In addition to this aspirant after obtaining the complete degree, must have worked for not less than 3 years as on 31st July 2015, in an establishment and must be working in an business situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the aspirant seeks admission. However, the employer has to fill up the NOC suitably signed by the competent authority

(iii) Admission to the Part Time M.Tech Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) shall be open to regular faculty working in institutions in Karnataka state.

i) aspirant who have passed B.E. / B.Tech Examination (in relevant field) of VTU or any other recognized University / Institution and have passed the qualifying examination in second class (50% aggregate) (No relaxation in minimum percentage will be given for these admissions)
ii) aspirant having experience of one academic year, and
iii) the working place shall be within 100 kms from the institutions where they seek admission. Not only an aspirant who has passed the qualifying examination with requisite marks but also an candidate who is appearing for the Q. E. and expecting the results is eligible to apply for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test – 2015.

Duration of the exam 120 minutes

Part 1: 50 questions of 1 mark each

Part 2: 25 questions of 2 marks each

Here you want detail of Karnataka PGCET exam which conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority for admission to first year / first semester MBA/MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.BA (Infrastructure Management) courses in the State of Karnataka, so I am providing some info regarding to same.

In this year Karnataka PGCET exam was conduct on July 26, 2014 so you can not appear now but for your idea I am sharing its info with you

Karnataka PGCET exam dates
Commencement of Online Application : June 30, 2014
Payment of fees at SBM/E-Payment Post Offices: July 2, 2014


Last Date of Entry of Application: July 10, 2014


Last date to pay the fees : July 12, 2014


Downloading of Admission Tickets on or after: July 20, 2014


Test: July 26, 2014


Result: August, 2014


Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern:

Duration of the exam is 120 minutes

Total Marks are 100

Total No of Questions is 75 as follows:


Part 1: 50 questions of 1 mark each
