McMaster University is a public research university located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a need-based program available to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants who are Ontario residents.

As you want to know about Definition of Time Periods of this Program so here I am telling you that:


Total Gross Income Received
-Enter total gross income from all sources, January 1 to December 31

January 1st to the starting date of your pre-study period
-Enter total gross income from all sources from January 1 until the date 16 weeks prior to the start of your study period. (January 1st - mid-May)
-If you are entering 2nd year of the MBA Co-op Program, the income entered here will include your co-op earnings from your first year, January to April placement.

Pre-Study Period
-Enter total gross income from all sources in the 16 week time period immediately preceding your study period start date, if you were not attending a post-secondary institution as a FULL-TIME student.
-If you are entering year 1, report gross income from mid-May to start of classes in September.
-If you have been registered in the MBA Co-op program continuously and are entering Year 2 (term 3) your pre-study earnings are gross income from end of July to the start of classes in September.
-If you are Year 2 (term 4) report gross earnings from the end of August to the start of classes in September.
-If you have been in the MBA Full-Time program in Year 1 or 2 and have had a break in study over the summer use gross earnings from mid-May to start of classes in September.

Study Period Income
-Enter total gross income from all sources during the period covered by the OSAP application.
-Income earned during work and study terms must be reported.

Scholarships and Bursaries
-Total gross income for scholarships and bursaries to be received during your study period.
-All scholarships must be reported. All bursaries from a source external to McMaster must also be reported here. SFAS will report any McMaster bursary payments on your behalf.

Government Benefits
-Total gross income from Government Benefits to be received during study period.
