Applicants get selected for UPSC Special Class Railway Apprentice Course through written test and personality test. Pay Scale : Applicants are placed as mechanical engineers with three years’ probation period in the railways can earn up to Rs 30,000 in the probation period. Applicants can travel in the AC coaches along with their family free of cost. SCRA Exam Details : Education qualification: Applicants must pass 10+2 / intermediate with 50% marks in math’s, physics and chemistry is compulsory. Age limit: Applicants must not be below 17 years and above 21 years on August 1st of the examination conducted year. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST and three years to the OBC’s. Notification: For every two years released in February or March. Available Seats: Based on the vacancies and roughly up to 50 are available. Exam pattern: There are three papers in the written test with each section carrying 200 marks. All are multiple choice questions given in English language. There is negative marking for the wrong answers. Paper-I: General ability test (English, general knowledge, psychological test). Test Time 2 hours. Marks 200. Paper II: Physical science (physics, chemistry). Test time 2 hours. Marks 200. Paper III: Mathematics. UPSC conduct the in the month of June- July. Selection process: 1. Written examination 2. Interview Eligibility : Age limit: Applicants age should be in the range of 17 - 21 years. Educational qualifications: Applicants must have passed 10+2 with first or second division. And you must have the following subjects: Mathematics and Physic or Chemistry They will release the notice in the month of February Exam will conduct in the month of June- July. Applicants undergo a four-year rigorous training programme in Mechanical Engineering, Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts every year entrance exam for selecting Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) to Indian Railways. As you want here I am giving bellow info related to Salary Structure for Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) Exam pass out candidates : Pay scale: UPSC SCRA 2019 recruits will be offered a pay scale in the range 9000-13,000 (as per the post).
