Netaji Subhas Open University Special B Ed Course

Sir I have decided to join B.Ed (Special Education) Course from Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU). Would you please tell me what is the Eligibility Criteria for this Course?

Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) is an open university and it provides distance education in eastern India. It is a Public University and it was established in 1997.

NSOU is affiliated to UGC and DEC.


As you want to join B.Ed (Special Education) Course from NSOU so I am providing you procedure for admission.


Admission to B.Ed (Spl. Ed.) is taken on the base of Entrance Test but this year its Exam has been conducted and its Merit List has also published.

You have to wait for one year so I am providing you total procedure.

This information is based on the Old Notification.

Admission Process:

Admission will be carried out through On-line only. Only those candidates who have passed at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and / or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities, 4 years Bachelor’s or 3 years Second Degree Bachelor’s Programme in Engineering can apply for it.

Eligibility Criteria:

Graduates and/or Masters with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) (Admission through Entrance Test)

Application Start on: from 08.06.2015 to 21.06.2015

The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of State Government.

However weight-age will be given to the candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions:

1) Parent of a child with disability

2) Person with disability possessing Disability Certificate issued by the Competent
Authority

3) Possession of any RCI approved Diploma/ Degree.

Duration: Two years and six months with Five Semesters.

Entrance Test Fees: Rs.500/- (+Bank Charges)

Fee Structure: University Charges

1. Rs. 30,000/-(Course Fee as per RCI recommendation)
2. Rs. 5,000/- (ICT and Student Support)
3. Rs. 5,000/- (Monitoring and Supervision of Programmes)

Availability of On-Line Application Forms: From 10.00 a.m. onwards 08/06/2015

Last date of submission of on-line Application Forms: 21/06/2015 till 12.00 midnight

Last date of submission of Entrance Test Fees to the Bank (any branches of Allahabad Bank) through Challan: 22/06/2015

Last date of on- line submission of the Bank Journal No: 23/06/2015 till 12.00 Midnight.
On- line Admit Card generation: 04/07/2015 on wards
Common Entrance Examination: 12/07/2015
Online Publication of Merit List: 24/07/2015
Central Counselling and Spot Admission at SOE, NSOU: 28/07/2015 to 31/07/2015
Commencement of PCP on and from: 02.08.2015
You can apply for 2nd counselling but it must to participate in Entrance Test.
