The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur or IIT KGP) is a public engineering institution established by the government of India in 1951.

It was the first of the IITs to be established, and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

Auditorium details:

There isn't exactly a movie theatre inside the campus but every weekend movies are shown at Netaji Auditorium.

But the movies are usually shown 23 weeks after they are released.

The schedule of the movies is updated on IIT Kharagpur Netaji Auditorium's facebook page.

The ticket is free for all the students. Apart from this there is a movie theatre outside the campus, the name of the cinema theatre is Bombay Cineplex and the ticket rates are decent
