As you want I am here providing you the information about the NET/SET exam.

Eligibility Criteria :

Applicant who have Masters Degree and score minimum 55 per cent marks be eligible.

Applicant who are in their final year of Masters program or those whose examinations have been delayed can apply.
.
Applicant who hold PhD degree provided relaxation of marks up to 5 per cent.

Applicants who have qualified the UGC/CSIR JRF examination need not have to necessarily appear for NET.

Besides, the Applicants who have qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for eligible for Assistant Professor .


Important dates 2014 NET Exam :

Last date for applying online and generation of filled bank challan for fee:
May 5

Last date of submission of fee through online generated bank challan, at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI):
May 7

Last date of taking printout of application form, attendance slip and admit card:
May 10

Last date for receiving the printout of online application form:
May 15

Examination date:
June 29

NET stands for National Eligibility test

SET stands for State eligibility test

These examinations are only for candidates who want to become a Lecturer in some colleges.

NET is a national level Examination conducted by CBSE twice in June and December Every year.

SET is a state level examination conducted by state

Eligibility:
Candidate must have passed Master Degree with at least 55% from recognized University

Age limit:
For junior research fellowship age must be between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship, there is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

There are 3 papers in this exam and all are objective

You have to choose the subjects in NET on the basis of your Post graduation.
